Frequently Asked Questions

We answer some common questions about our company and services.

What Is the Standard Turnaround Time?

At Garber Metrology, our standard turnaround time is five business days, which applies to all the equipment received at our facility for calibration services. We take pride in providing quick lab calibration turnaround times for various instruments, sometimes exceeding these usual turnaround times.

Do You Offer Expedited Service?

Yes, Garber Metrology offers expedited services at additional charges. We have one-day, two-day and three-day turnaround options with overnight shipping capabilities for customers who want to receive their equipment sooner.

Do You Offer Pickup and Delivery?

Yes, we provide regional pickup and delivery services. If you are a local company, we can calibrate your instruments on-site or transport them to our temperature-controlled and accredited calibration laboratories. Regional customers can choose to ship their instruments to us. After calibration, we return them through your shipping choice.

How Do I Access My Certificates of Calibration?

To access your certificates of calibration, you can request a login to enter our Customer Portal and download your certificates. You can also contact customer service at 717-393-1708 for assistance.

What Is the Difference Between ISO Accredited vs. ISO Compliant Calibration?

The difference between International Organization for Standardization (ISO) accreditation and ISO compliance lies in the level of recognition and certification the calibration process has undergone. For ISO accreditation, a recognized accreditation body asses the calibration laboratory’s procedures, equipment and personnel to ensure they meet the requirements. Accredited laboratories provide a higher level of confidence in the reliability and accuracy of their calibration services.

At Garber Metrology, we are ISO 9001 registered by National Quality Assurance (NQA) and ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994 accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB).

ISO compliance, on the other hand, means that an organization’s procedures follow the guidelines and requirements of relevant ISO standards. For ISO compliance, the calibration has not been assessed or certified by an external body. The laboratory or organization declares it is ISO complaint based on internal audits.
